Those of you who have read this blog for a while…or who have read my novel Sunrise Cabin…know how I like to take time every morning to count my blessings, or at least acknowledge some of my reasons to feel thankful.
I think practicing gratitude is one of the best things we can do for mental health and happiness. I even think it leads to more blessings, but there’s no way to prove that part. (Or is there?)
If you ever have bad days when it’s hard to remember what you feel grateful for, pin or bookmark this post for some reminders.
You don’t have all these blessings in your life.
I know this, because at least two of them contradict one another! And there are some things on this list that you might not actually feel grateful for (like snow.)
But you probably feel thankful for some of them…or even a lot of them. I bet this list will make you think of even more, too.
If you want to change your whole outlook today, read through this list. For every item that’s true for you, close your eyes for a moment and think about how good it is to have it in your life.
But if that takes too long, just count how many of them you feel grateful for!

I thank God for #20-24 every chance I get.
Great list. Thanks for all the very worthy reminders!
Wonderful list, Bryn. Had me smiling through it, nodding my head at most. Still aspiring to #98…not gonna happen for at least the next 10-15 years for me, but hey…that’s because of #7. 🙂 Wishing you all the best and a Happy Thanksgiving!!
honestly I agree with almost everything on this list Bryn ,personally I would probably swap “big city lights” with “night skies in the middle of nowhere” and add birdsongs, access to an education and spellcheck. but it was still a good reminder of how lucky I am so i just wanted to say thanks.?
This is a great list, thanks for sharing! I’d like to add #BPFD to this list…I read the character development worksheet every night before bed, even if I didn’t have time to write during the day so that I don’t lose sight of my goals. I am truly so grateful for the resources you provide. Happy Thanksgiving!
